«Jim [Caviezel] came over to me, and we had shot the scenes a couple of times already, and he came over to me and said “I want to try something. Just go with me.” And I was like “Yeah,” because I love to work like that. Don’t even tell me. Just do it. And deep down I think I knew it was going to be a kiss. Actually the dialogue read as such. It read just like we played it out, but it almost needed that kiss. So when he did it, it was perfect. And because I didn’t know it was coming, Carter’s expression was priceless. Because when you’re in the moment and you’re with your best friend, and you’re at a very vulnerable point in your life… maybe you call your best friend over and he’s never crossed that line. And then because you’re in a vulnerable place it just kind of happens and you’re stuck inside “Oh my god, what just happened? I just kissed my best friend.” Awkward.
