Oh my God, dudes, I really don’t think TV Guide et al are out to get you. Just because they don’t consider Regina a legitimate option to ship Emma with does not mean they are being heteronormative assholes whose only mission in life is to repress every single drop of perceived gayness on the show. What if they simply aren’t aware fans consider it an option? I have a feeling the SQ faction of the fandom (that hijacked poll from a while back notwithstanding) is a lot less impactful in the grand scheme of the OUAT fandom than people may think, just because things always appear bigger when you’re on the inside (and certainly, the “divorced lesbian mommies” interpretation is not one that people not prone to thinking/shipping outside the box would see right away). If any attraction between Regina and Emma had been actually acknowledged in canon and every media outlet speculating on potential suitors for Emma were ignoring it in favour of pushing Emma/any dude, then yeah, I’d understand the outrage, but as it stands… Jeebus, calm the fuck down. There is a very high chance that Emma/Regina will stay nothing but wishful thinking, so we all probably should start getting used to it.
