He loves her. He loves her. Enough to give up his life, to take a bullet for her and end Roman so that he can’t touch her again. And yeah, there was other stuff in play, but THIS SHOW. IT ANSWERED ITS OWN INAPPROPRIATE QUESTION.
And she loved him enough to have faith that he would come. That he’d have a plan and that he’d come for her. This person who challenged her in ways that she didn’t understand, who helped her without judgment when she needed it, to whom she confessed her lack of faith. She didn’t have faith and through her friendship, her partnership with Charlie… she found faith.
I love these two so, so much, and it’s because they’re two broken people who found a partner that they care about enough to push past the broken and the pain and to just be there for.
