For me, the best thing about these two gifs is that we actually have a little bit of Stephen seeping through. Sure, it’s Oliver, no question about it. And he’s very explicitly showing his love and affection for Felicity. But there’s also Stephen, trying so very hard to keep it together, while Emily’s being her usual charming self. This is not only chemistry between two characters, but it’s chemistry between two actors who have immense respect for each other. Respect and really, clearly fun - I’d even use the word genuine here. I hearken it back to Stephen saying that it was him and not Oliver who cracked that smile when he and Felicity first met. I just think Emily and Stephen bring out the best of each other. That’s just one of the many, many reasons Olicity is my OTP.
