50 Girlcrushes of 2012: Silvia Alonso
Tierra de Lobos has been off the air for almost a over, but my love for Silvia Alonso and Almudena Lobo has just seemed to expand in the cold, dead chambers of my heart. Watching the show the first go-around, I will readily admit that I was distracted by Isabel and Cristina and couldn’t see just how wonderful Almudena was .. and she is wonderful. She is the Mary Crawley of 1875 Spain. She knows her duty as the lady of the house, but her heart has other plans. She matures steadily through season one and by season two she is strong enough and bad-ass enough to launch a rescue mission to save Isabel from a convent and isn’t afraid to pull a gun on a nun because she is awesome like that. As I sit here and grow older waiting for the third season of this show to premiere, Silvia has continued to have a place in my heart for all the adorable things she does on twitter. I mean, really, just stare at this photoset and tell me it isn’t the definition of adorable.
